GTA 6 cheat codes : the state of play

If you're looking for the list of GTA 6 cheat codes, it doesn't exist yet. No code has been published by Rockstar, and the lists already circulating are made up or unverifiable. Here's what can reasonably be expected based on the series' history.

Every GTA has had cheat codes

The tradition goes back to GTA III. Vice City, San Andreas, GTA IV, GTA V and even Red Dead Redemption 2 all had them, which makes their presence in GTA 6 very likely — only the input method has changed from game to game.

What codes cost you in GTA V

Activating a cheat code disabled trophies and achievements for the rest of the session, and codes weren't available in GTA Online. GTA 6 should follow the same logic: if you're going for the platinum, keep codes for a separate save.

Watch out for fake lists and "generators"

Every major Rockstar release attracts sites promising exclusive codes or early access. Three signals should raise a red flag:

A complete list published before November 19 — nobody can know the codes before having the game in hand
A "generator" asking for your PlayStation or Xbox login — an account theft attempt, without exception
A file to download to "unlock" codes — on console, that doesn't exist
